About the Position

Tech Pipeline is supporting a leading logistics company in Dubai to resolve persistent software challenges in their operational infrastructure. As a Junior Web Developer, your primary responsibility will be to create, update, and maintain web interfaces essential for smooth logistical operations. This job is fully remote and focuses solely on tangible technical tasks—your work will directly address concrete system issues, not abstract software strategy.

Role Overview

Effective logistics require seamless data flow across warehouses, hubs, and offices. Inconsistencies or miscommunications can cause severe backups and disruption. Your role involves targeting specific shortcomings—like fixing routing rule errors or adjusting data visibility on operator dashboards—rather than developing overarching frameworks. Projects will center on constructing targeted web components and scripts to keep data accurate across all company platforms.

Main Duties

Create and enhance frontend elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to improve internal tools.
Analyze server logs and database records to locate the causes of data discrepancies.
Write scripts that automate cross-database shipping data reconciliation.
Test and validate web forms, ensuring they meet operational protocols.
Design basic dashboards for real-time monitoring of backlogs and routing.
Document all code changes to support client-side ongoing maintenance.
Work with colleagues to uncover key user issues within the current web solutions.
Engage in peer code reviews to uphold clarity and effectiveness across deliverables.

Who We're Looking For

Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript.
Experience with at least one backend language (e.g., Python or Node.js), either in studies or self-led projects.
Keen eye for detail and capacity to identify irregularities in both UI and data.
Strong written communication to create clear documentation.
Focus on delivering functional solutions without unnecessary complexity.
Effective communication skills to collaborate in a remote team setting.
An authentic curiosity about how software supports large-scale logistics.
Self-sufficiency in managing remote work and task schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

Some exposure to Git or similar version control tools through coursework or independent projects.
Ability to write straightforward SQL queries for data retrieval.
Understanding of logistics or warehouse management concepts is a plus.
Experience developing a complete web app as part of academic or bootcamp work.
