About the Role
The Relationship Associate supports Relationship Managers by helping simplify banking for customers through tailored solutions and useful insights. Working in a high-performing team, this position builds capability in risk awareness, credit work and relationship management, and is well suited to someone developing toward a future Relationship Manager role.
The position is based in Canterbury and is an 18-month fixed-term opportunity. Working hours are standard business hours, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage customers with care and professionalism to understand their business needs and service expectations.
- Partner with Relationship Managers, Senior Managers and product specialists to design and deliver suitable customer solutions.
- Support financial analysis and help interpret customer information so credit decisions are accurate and well informed.
- Contribute to the growth and retention of the customer base by building trusted relationships and resolving customer needs effectively.
- Share insights that help customers succeed.
- Build connections with stakeholders across internal and external sectors to strengthen the network of advocates.
What You Bring
Success in this role is likely if you bring a strong foundation in customer delivery, analytical thinking and relationship building, along with exposure to banking, finance or lending. A tertiary qualification in a financial discipline is preferred, as is knowledge of security structures.
