About the Company
Chainlink is the industry benchmark for oracle infrastructure, connecting capital markets to onchain systems and supporting most of decentralized finance. Its platform supplies the data, interoperability, compliance, and privacy layers needed for advanced blockchain applications such as institutional tokenized assets, lending, payments, stablecoins, and more. Since creating decentralized oracle networks, Chainlink has supported transaction value measured in the tens of trillions and continues to secure the majority of DeFi.
Major global financial institutions and market infrastructure providers have adopted Chainlink’s standards and technology, including Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International, UBS, S&P Dow Jones Indices, FTSE Russell, WisdomTree, ANZ, alongside leading protocols such as Aave, Lido, GMX, and others. The company uses a distinctive fee structure in which offchain and onchain revenue from enterprise usage is converted into LINK tokens and held in a strategic Chainlink Reserve.
About the Role
This position is responsible for leading and improving the complete operational layer of the NOP network, including the infrastructure, tooling, and standards that allow both internal teams and outside operators to run it successfully. As the network expands, the role will focus on creating systems and processes that improve scale, reliability, and consistency.
You will set direction, manage the roadmap, and deliver the operational foundation that enables the NOP network to scale efficiently. Success in this role means a more reliable network, less manual effort, and a more polished experience for operators.
Key Impact
- Develop the infrastructure and operating standards that support the reliability and scale of a platform securing most of DeFi, powering every Chainlink product, and serving major financial institutions.
- Influence how hundreds of developers and teams using Chainlink experience the network and how confidently they can rely on it as they grow.
- Define the operating model and automation that help the NOP network scale efficiently, directly shaping Chainlink’s next stage of institutional and protocol adoption.
- Deliver tooling that helps internal teams and node operators move faster, work with more confidence, and reduce friction that slows the network.
- Create documentation and standards that the broader operator ecosystem will rely on for years.
Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure or operational products end to end, including product direction and delivery in technically complex environments.
- Identify opportunities to automate or significantly reduce manual operational work at scale.
- Set up, maintain, and improve operational systems and workflows using practical tooling choices that avoid unnecessary complexity.
- Work closely with engineers on infrastructure decisions, interpret technical architecture, and help shape tooling and platform choices.
- Manage structured communication with external partners and operator communities.
- Coordinate across multiple stakeholder groups, including internal teams and external collaborators.
- Influence outcomes across teams without relying on direct authority.
- Build clear processes and operating structures in environments where little formal structure exists.
Requirements
- Strong experience owning infrastructure or operational products from strategy through delivery.
- Proven success in automating or streamlining manual operations at scale.
- Comfort working with operational systems and making pragmatic tooling decisions.
- Ability to discuss technical infrastructure with engineers as a peer and influence architecture or tooling choices.
- Experience with structured external communication for partner or operator groups.
- Background working across several stakeholder groups at the same time.
- Evidence of driving results across functions without formal reporting lines.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous settings and create structure where it is missing.
- Preferred: experience in crypto, blockchain infrastructure, or node/validator operations.
- Preferred: familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, or node hardware environments.
- Preferred: experience building or managing internal tools such as portals, dashboards, or workflow systems.
- Preferred: exposure to working with data science and engineering teams on automation or optimization work.
