About Grafana Labs

Grafana Labs builds the open observability cloud and is grounded in open source, open standards, open ecosystems, and open culture. Its Grafana Cloud platform is fully managed, highly scalable, and designed to help organizations understand and act on data faster with the support of AI. More than 35 million users and 7,000+ customers, including Anthropic, Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce, rely on Grafana Labs to improve reliability, respond to incidents quickly, and reduce telemetry noise and costs. The company operates fully remotely with 1,600+ team members in 40+ countries.

Grafana Labs is hiring for a remote role based in Ireland. The team values transparency, autonomy, trust, collaboration, and meaningful work. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement.

Role Overview

As a Product Manager, you will shape the vision and strategy for your product area, own the roadmap and supporting materials, and work closely with Grafana leadership to refine product goals. You will serve as the main subject matter expert and advocate for your area, communicating product needs and details clearly to customers and internal partners. Because the organization is globally distributed and remote-first, strong proactive communication is essential.

Product Management at Grafana Labs acts as the connector between Engineering, Design, UX, and go-to-market teams. In this role, you will help align those groups, guide information flow, and represent products with enough technical depth to speak credibly with customers.

What You Will Own

This position focuses on Performance Testing within Grafana Cloud, centered on the k6 open-source project. You will define how users create, run, and use performance tests throughout the software delivery lifecycle, helping Grafana Cloud k6 become the preferred option for teams moving away from legacy tooling and adopting shift-left testing.

The portfolio includes Grafana Cloud k6, the commercial cloud offering that runs tests at scale from 21 global locations, and k6 OSS, the open-source CLI that builds developer trust and community adoption. You will also define how test results connect with Grafana Cloud metrics, logs, and traces so teams can quickly move from a failed load test to the specific trace causing the issue. In addition, you will help extend performance testing across protocol, browser, and mobile modalities, while ensuring the experience feels integrated and worth paying for.

You will collaborate across R&D to connect Performance Testing with the wider Grafana Cloud ecosystem, including products such as the Knowledge Graph, Application Observability, and Kubernetes Monitoring, so users can move smoothly between pre-production validation and production monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Turn ideas, customer input, and market signals into a clear product vision and roadmap.
  • Understand user pain points and translate them into requirements, needs, and opportunities.
  • Represent customer feedback accurately to Engineering and back up prioritization decisions with evidence.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to support go-to-market differentiation through presentations, documentation, website updates, datasheets, and whitepapers.
  • Use strong product judgment to influence go-to-market direction, pricing, packaging, licensing, and tiering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 7 years of Product Management experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience working on a B2B SaaS product.
  • Background in developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services.
  • Comfort discussing APIs, data models, schema evolution, and distributed systems.
  • Experience scaling shared services or platform capabilities across multiple product teams.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering and Design to ship polished products and features with strong UX in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Bonus: exposure to open source software or commercial open source companies.
  • Bonus: experience with observability products or developer tools, either as an internal SRE or for external customers.
  • Bonus: familiarity with infrastructure concepts such as Kubernetes, cloud service providers, and virtual machines, explained in accessible terms.
  • Bonus: experience using AI tools.

Perks and Benefits

  • Remote-first culture with a globally distributed team.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a high-growth, scaling organization.
  • Open communication, transparent decision-making, and regular company-wide updates.
  • Freedom to innovate with autonomy and support.
  • Strong open-source culture and community-driven values.
  • High-trust, low-ego environment focused on outcomes.
  • Clear career growth pathways.
  • Visible, approachable leadership.
  • In-person onboarding with fellow new joiners.
  • Annual leave of 30 days per year, including 3 Grafana Shutdown Days, subject to local legal requirements where applicable.
  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) included as part of the compensation package.

Compensation

The base salary range for Ireland is EUR 104,000 to 124,800 per year. Final compensation will depend on level, experience, and skills demonstrated during the interview process. If the role is considered from another country, the recruiter will share the relevant local pay range and benefits early in the process.
