About the Role
We are seeking a Data Analyst who goes beyond simply responding to questions by identifying better ones to ask. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly analytical, and motivated to understand the reasons behind business patterns and performance.
This position blends conventional analytics work with AI-assisted methods. You will use SQL, Python, dashboards, and AI-enabled workflows to work more efficiently, detect important trends, and support smarter decision-making. The emphasis is not on developing AI products, but on using modern tools to speed up analysis and uncover richer insights.
You will work closely with teams across product, marketing, operations, and leadership to spot opportunities, examine unusual changes in metrics, and raise questions that others may overlook.
Responsibilities
- Examine large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and practical business takeaways.
- Look into unexpected shifts in key metrics and determine the underlying causes.
- Create, improve, and maintain SQL queries, Python scripts, dashboards, and recurring reports.
- Use AI tools and large language models to make analysis, reporting, and insight generation faster and more effective.
- Convert analytical findings into concise, actionable recommendations for business teams.
- Share data-backed insights with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work with business partners to define relevant questions and measurable success metrics.
- Contribute to data quality, documentation, and governance efforts.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or comparable analytics role.
- Advanced SQL knowledge, including joins, CTEs, and window functions.
- Strong Python skills for analysis and automation tasks.
- Hands-on experience using AI or LLM tools to enhance reporting, analysis, or business processes.
- Proven ability to discover insights and shape decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data clearly.
- Good understanding of statistics, including hypothesis testing, regression, and cohort analysis.
- Only candidates authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship may be considered.
- Corp-to-Corp, third-party, and vendor-supported arrangements are not accepted.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Exposure to dbt, Airflow, or similar analytics tooling.
- Background working directly with business stakeholders and leadership teams.
