Description de l'emploi

About Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation

Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation is a charitable organization that helps improve healthcare outcomes by raising support for medical equipment, patient comfort initiatives, research projects, clinical space redevelopment, and education and training for healthcare providers. Its work benefits patients and families across south-central Ontario, including those receiving specialized care at Hamilton General Hospital, Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre, McMaster Children’s Hospital, St. Peter’s Hospital, Regional Rehabilitation Centre, McMaster University Medical Centre, and Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre.

The organization’s culture is guided by teamwork, trust, encouragement, and open communication. It values strong relationships as the foundation of effective fundraising and is committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, privacy, and safety for staff and patients.

Role Summary

This full-time permanent Data Analyst position sits within the Corporate Services Department and reports to the Director, Decision Support. The role focuses on handling data that supports fundraising and operational activities, including reporting, donor list preparation, and data movement in Raiser’s Edge.

What You Will Do

You will extract, check, and validate information to ensure teams receive reliable data when they need it. The role includes building segmented donor lists for outreach, supporting donor recognition materials, and managing data imports and exports from online giving systems, events, and other sources.

You will also help maintain communication preferences and support compliance with privacy requirements such as PIPEDA, PHIPA, and CASL. A major part of the position is protecting data quality and consistency by reviewing donor records, correcting issues, and keeping the CRM dependable as a source of truth.

In addition, you will document processes, look for ways to streamline data work, and contribute to ongoing improvements that make the department more efficient.

Working Arrangements

The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The role is based onsite at the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation head office at 1 King Street West, Hamilton, Ontario.

After three months of employment, and with approval from the VP, Finance and Corporate Services, there is an opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week.

Requirements

Applicants should have at least three years of experience in data management and CRM support, ideally in a fundraising setting. A post-secondary background in Computer Science, Data Management, Data Analysis, or a related area is preferred, though an equivalent mix of education and experience may be accepted.

Strong SQL skills are an advantage, especially the ability to write complex queries for analysis and data cleanup. Additional training in CRM database management is also preferred, along with experience using Raiser’s Edge (Blackbaud).

You should be comfortable working with MS 365 tools, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, and have a strong understanding of data analysis methods, database reporting, and data management technologies.

The role also calls for exceptional attention to detail, clear communication, strong organization, effective time management, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a firm commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, donor privacy, and the Donor Bill of Rights.

Compliance and Employment Conditions

Employment is conditional on a current and satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check or Police Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as clearance from HHS Employee Health Services in line with organizational policy.

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this role is $60,782 to $66,860, depending on experience. The organization also offers an annual performance-based incentive program.

The total rewards package includes a Defined Benefit Pension Plan (HOOPP), comprehensive healthcare, dental and travel coverage, a Health Services Spending Account, maternity and parental leave top-up benefits, and access to an Employee and Family Assistance Program.

Additional benefits include three weeks of paid vacation to start, your birthday off, and a workplace that supports continuous learning and career development.

Application Process

Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter by July 10, 2026, explaining their interest in the role. Candidates who do not meet every qualification are still encouraged to apply, as potential will be considered. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Equal Opportunity and Accommodation

Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation is committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from diverse and equity-deserving groups. The organization provides a barrier-free recruitment process and work environment, with accommodation available throughout hiring in accordance with applicable human rights and accessibility laws. Candidates who need accommodation during any stage of the process may contact Heather Slye at 905.521.2100 x 44624 or [email protected] for support.
