Senior Full Stack Developer - Java

Job Overview

Raas Infotek is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer for a long-term contract position based primarily onsite in Edmonton, Alberta, with Calgary as a secondary location option. This hybrid role requires three days onsite weekly.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain modern web applications, APIs, and related services spanning frontend and backend technologies.
• Ensure delivery of secure, dependable, and maintainable solutions leveraging contemporary software engineering methodologies, automated testing, and sound architecture.
• Develop and oversee Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools, including reusable components, environment staging, and deployment automation.
• Enhance CI/CD workflows and release procedures utilizing GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Implement security best practices throughout application development, cloud setups, identity management, secrets management, and pipeline operations.
• Contribute to engineering governance via code reviews, documentation, templates, observability standards, and continual process refinement.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to boost efficiency, quality, and output velocity.
• Collaborate across teams and mentor peers through active knowledge sharing and code evaluation.

Qualifications

• Professional background in full stack software development.
• Extensive hands-on experience delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Experience building and sustaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Solid grasp of secure software delivery and cloud security fundamentals.
• Contributions to engineering processes, platform standards, or developer enablement initiatives.
• Applied experience utilizing AI-assisted coding tools in daily development activities.

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Backend: Python, Node.js, .NET, or Java.
• Cloud services: Azure compute, storage, messaging, monitoring, and container services.
• DevOps/Infrastructure: Terraform, Bicep, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
• Security: Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control (RBAC), Key Vault, vulnerability scanning, and secure SDLC best practices.
