Accountant

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced accountant to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations and support accurate, timely reporting. The role is based in Singapore and involves end-to-end accounting responsibilities across payables, receivables, the general ledger, and month-end closing.

What you will do

• Handle the complete accounting cycle, covering AP, AR, GL, and month-end closing while maintaining accurate financial records and timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, and analysis that help leadership make informed decisions.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities.
• Assist with internal and external audit work, along with corporate tax and GST calculations, preparation, and filing.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and internal control procedures.
• Support efficiency initiatives, including accounting process improvements and the rollout of accounting systems, automation, or AI-enabled tools where relevant.
• Carry out additional finance and accounting tasks as assigned by management.

What we are looking for

• A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CPA, or CA qualifications are considered an advantage.
• About 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a full-set accounting environment.
• Good knowledge of Singapore financial reporting standards, GST, and tax compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with accounting platforms such as SAP, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar systems, plus strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with accounting automation tools or AI-driven finance solutions is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management abilities.
