Animator

Role overview

Animators are responsible for bringing computer-generated characters, creatures, and objects to life through polished motion, using a range of animation tools. The work is carried out with guidance from senior artists and animation supervisors.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the animation delivery for a sequence of shots on a designated production.
• Work closely with the team to explore visual and artistic solutions, and share constructive feedback during regular dailies.
• Keep productivity steady or better while consistently meeting timelines and delivering high-quality output.
• Support additional computer animation tasks as needed during production.
• At times, create animation references such as recorded video performances to assist with assigned shots and help the broader animation team.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in Traditional Animation plus 3 years of experience, or at least 5 years of hands-on experience in cel, stop-motion, or computer animation.
• Strong working knowledge of Maya and other related or proprietary software tools.
• Linux proficiency is preferred.
