Role Summary

The Chief Operating Officer will work remotely on a full-time basis and will be accountable for the company’s daily operations. The role ensures that business execution stays aligned with strategic priorities while strengthening efficiency, quality, and scalability across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

The COO will guide operational planning, set performance measures, and work with functional leaders to improve execution across departments. This includes building and rolling out business processes, overseeing budgets and financial performance alongside the finance team, and supporting broader business planning efforts.

Additional responsibilities include tracking operational KPIs, spotting risks and growth opportunities, improving how resources are allocated, and encouraging a culture of ownership, openness, and ongoing improvement. The role also involves working closely with senior leadership to sharpen strategy, back expansion initiatives, and ensure operations can grow with the business.

Qualifications

This position calls for strong capability in business and strategic planning, with the ability to turn company objectives into practical operating plans. Candidates should bring a solid background in operations leadership, including process improvement, performance oversight, and coordination across teams.

Strong analytical ability is needed to evaluate data, define useful metrics, and support informed decisions. A good understanding of finance and budgeting is also important, including experience handling operating budgets and contributing to forecasts.

Applicants should have executive-level leadership experience, ideally in a COO or comparable senior operations position in a fast-growing organization. Clear written and verbal communication is essential for working with stakeholders at different levels.

Experience leading remote or distributed teams is important, as is the ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual setting. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related discipline is required, while an MBA or similar advanced qualification is an advantage. The role also requires the ability to manage change, introduce new systems or tools, and continuously improve processes.
