Role overview
We are looking for a full-time Cleaner to join the cleaning and facilities team supporting Defence services in Helston. The post is based on a 35-hour working week and is designed for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for clients and customers.
This position follows a 5-day rota across 7 days. The contract runs for 50.2 weeks per year.
What you will do
- Work with the wider cleaning and facilities team to help keep all areas safe, sanitary, and well maintained.
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming to a high standard.
- Make sure surfaces, floors, windows, and other regularly touched areas are cleaned and sanitised on a consistent basis.
- Handle additional cleaning duties when needed, including quickly clearing spillages.
- Remove waste from bins and dispose of it appropriately.
- Check cleaning stocks and refill supplies when needed.
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, attentive to detail, and comfortable in a practical, hands-on role. Previous cleaning experience in a similar position is helpful, but it is not a strict requirement. A flexible attitude toward working patterns is also important.
