Role Overview
The CNC Setter and Programmer will be responsible for preparing CNC machines for production, ensuring tooling and fixtures are correctly installed, and verifying that the first output meets quality expectations. The role also involves supporting day-to-day machining operations, resolving process issues, and maintaining machine safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare CNC machines for production based on drawings and process documentation.
- Fit and align tools, fixtures, and workpieces accurately.
- Load CNC programs, check them carefully, run trials, and set offsets as required.
- Confirm that the first component passes inspection before production continues.
- Assist in diagnosing machining problems and guide operators during production.
- Keep the machine area safe, clean, and maintained through basic preventive care.
Eligibility
This opportunity is open to candidates regardless of graduation status; a degree is not mandatory.
Skills Needed
Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, program verification, tooling alignment, offset adjustments, trial runs, quality inspection, machining troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and workshop safety.
