The Associate Project Manager is accountable for coordinating, organizing, and overseeing defined projects so they stay aligned with department objectives, commitments, and overall strategy. This role carries ownership across the full project lifecycle, from early planning and scope definition through contracting, construction, and final closeout. It also includes ensuring that project documentation is completed and handled correctly, while keeping communication flowing between partners, leadership, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Own project safety by securing final approval of contractor safety plans and ensuring ongoing compliance with the approved plan, OSHA rules, corporate governance standards, and FAM Standard Operating Guidelines.
- Oversee the full development and closeout process for the assigned project portfolio across each project’s life cycle.
- Keep financial records, project files, budgets, design documents, and Estimated Final Cost forecasts accurate and up to date.
- Partner with operating teams and stakeholders to deliver projects in a cost-conscious and practical way.
- Work with Procurement to shape bid strategies, including scope definition, unit pricing items, alternates, and operational limits needed for contract preparation.
- Drive project schedules by building planning activities and tracking milestones to keep completion on target.
- Run development meetings with clients and help guide issue resolution so partner constraints are addressed.
- Communicate project progress, timelines, budget status, and guest-impact considerations to partners, clients, and leadership.
- Present updates and project information to clients and FAM executives.
- Use project management and contract management platforms as part of day-to-day business operations.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience working with construction methods and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and technical specifications.
- Understanding of construction project management workflows, purchasing and contract administration, and project development.
- Hands-on experience with construction finance, including budgets and cash flow tracking.
- Experience using Project Management Information System (PMIS) software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in renovation projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, or equivalent construction-related experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or commercial facilities construction.
- Experience with vendor negotiations, estimating, and bidding processes.

The final base salary offered may vary based on internal equity, the candidate’s location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included, along with the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the level and position offered.
