About the role
This full-time position is for an experienced Operations Manager within the construction sector based in Cork. The role is centered on running day-to-day operations, with responsibility for overseeing multiple crews each day on window and door installation work across a wide range of projects. It is a practical, hands-on leadership role that calls for strong organisation, sound judgment, and the ability to keep several priorities moving in a busy environment.
Key responsibilities
- Guide and support a team of employees while maintaining high standards of performance and a constructive workplace culture.
- Organise, coordinate, and timetable work so projects are delivered efficiently and within required timelines.
- Keep track of stock and materials, making sure supplies are available when needed.
- Deal directly with customers, answer questions, resolve concerns, and build lasting relationships.
- Spot operational issues and put practical solutions in place.
- Make sure all work meets company standards as well as health and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Prior experience in an operations or management position; experience in the industry is an advantage.
- Strong planning and time-management abilities.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and encourage staff.
- A solution-focused approach with careful attention to detail.
- Comfort working under pressure while handling several tasks at once.
- Understanding of windows and doors, along with installation experience and/or substantial carpentry/joinery background.
