Role Overview

You will join the consulting team as a Consultant, with a primary focus on data analytics across client projects. This is suited to an early- to mid-career data professional with a strong analytical base who wants to deepen both technical ability and consulting experience.

In this position, you will help deliver analytics and reporting solutions that enable clients to better understand their data and make stronger decisions. The role also offers exposure to wider digital consulting areas such as product development, digital transformation, and user experience/customer experience. You will work alongside senior analysts, data scientists, engineers, product managers, designers, and business stakeholders.

With mentorship and support, you will contribute to dashboarding, exploratory analysis, KPI monitoring, and data quality checks while also developing consulting skills in project coordination, UX, and design thinking. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, detail-focused, and eager to keep improving.

Key Responsibilities

Work with client and internal stakeholders to understand business questions and convert them into analytical needs.
Examine data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights with support from senior team members.
Create and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for tracking metrics and business performance.
Document metrics, definitions, and analytics workflows clearly and consistently.
Partner with data engineers and analysts on data models and reporting layers.
Present findings through charts, concise summaries, and presentations that are easy to understand.
Look for opportunities to strengthen reporting quality, data accuracy, and analytical processes.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or analytics-oriented role.
Hands-on programming experience in Python, Bash scripting, R, or a similar language.
Comfort working with SQL and querying cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery.
Experience using BI and data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
Basic understanding of data modelling and analytics best practices.
Experience defining, monitoring, and reporting KPIs and metrics.
Exposure to A/B testing and causal analysis.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Clear written and spoken communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional and consulting-style settings.
Interest in learning data governance, privacy, and security best practices.

The estimated annual pay for this role is CAD 75,000 to CAD 100,000. Final compensation will depend on education, experience, skills, abilities, and market alignment.
