नौकरी का विवरण
About the Role
CredLens is hiring a detail-focused Designer to join a small, mission-driven team in Washington, DC. This is a hands-on production role centered on executing high-quality work inside an already established design system, component library, and brand toolkit.
You will work across product, web, presentation, and print design, keeping output polished, consistent, and on-brand. As you grow in the position, there is scope to take on greater creative responsibility and help shape how the design systems evolve.
You will report to the design lead, with close guidance and mentorship from day one. The team is looking for someone organized, eager to learn, and proud of craft-level execution, whether that means fine-tuning slide spacing or ensuring a Webflow page looks right on mobile.
This position is based in Washington, DC and follows a hybrid schedule of two days per week in the office, with flexibility on which days. The team wants someone in place by late July or early August 2026.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support the team across product UI, web updates, presentations, and print production, while working within existing systems and templates.
- Use the current Figma system and component library to create and refine screens, user flows, and interface elements for the core software product.
- Keep the product experience visually consistent by applying existing patterns and identifying missing or inconsistent elements in the design system.
- Partner with product and engineering teams by preparing design updates, annotations, and handoff-ready assets.
- Use AI-assisted tools, including Claude, to generate, compare, and validate UX and UI ideas faster.
- Design, build, and maintain Webflow pages, update content, and apply analytics, SEO, and AI-driven discovery insights to improve visibility and performance.
- Resize and optimize visual assets such as images, icons, and graphics for use on the web.
- Create refined slide decks for leadership briefings, client meetings, conferences, and internal communication using established presentation templates.
- Turn data, research, and written material into clean, easy-to-follow slides that make complex information more accessible.
- Maintain reusable presentation components and keep template libraries current.
- Prepare print-ready files for brochures, one-pagers, event collateral, and signage using existing brand templates in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.
- Work with print vendors to confirm specifications, manage proofs, and support on-time delivery.
- Keep the asset library orderly, version-controlled, and easy for the team to use.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate has a solid design foundation, strong organization habits, and an eye for quality in production work.
- 1–3 years of professional design experience, ideally spanning digital and print work.
- Comfort using Figma, including working within a component library, building inside a design system, and preparing files for handoff.
- Practical experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Some Webflow experience, or a strong willingness and ability to learn it quickly.
- Strong fundamentals in layout, typography, and color, with a sharp eye for inconsistencies.
- Excellent file organization, naming discipline, and production hygiene.
- A portfolio that shows care, precision, and strong execution at the production level.
Preferred Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a related discipline.
- Experience working inside an established brand system or design framework rather than creating one from scratch.
- Professional presentation design experience, especially for executive audiences.
- Basic understanding of print production, including bleeds, CMYK, and vendor file preparation.
- Exposure to AI tools such as Claude, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or similar tools in a design workflow.
Who You Are
- You are highly detail-oriented and quickly spot spacing issues, alignment problems, and off-brand elements.
- You are receptive to feedback and use it to improve your work quickly.
- You are curious, self-directed, and comfortable figuring out unfamiliar tools or workflows.
- You manage your work independently, communicate risks early, and follow through reliably.
- You work well with others, keep ego low, and focus on improving the team’s output.
- You care about mission-driven work and are motivated by work that supports opportunity beyond aesthetics.
AI in the Design Workflow
CredLens uses AI as part of its design process. The team uses Claude to create and critique UX and UI ideas, explore layout alternatives, and test design decisions before moving forward. Generative image tools and AI-enabled features inside Adobe and Figma are also part of the workflow.
The team is not expecting mastery of every AI tool. What matters is curiosity, openness to working this way, and a view of AI as a collaborator in the process rather than a replacement for design judgment.
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio is required. The team is not evaluating only large or highly complex work; instead, they want to see attention to detail, comfort working within constraints, and evidence that quality matters to you at every stage. Student projects, freelance assignments, and internship work are all acceptable.
About CredLens
Non-degree credentials are changing how people move from education to employment. More learners are pursuing certificates, bootcamps, and workforce programs as routes to better jobs and higher pay, but the space lacks clarity.
With thousands of offerings and inconsistent outcome data, it is difficult to tell which programs are effective. That uncertainty puts learners at risk, makes it harder for strong programs to stand out, and limits investment in what truly works.
CredLens aims to solve that problem by providing trusted outcomes data for non-degree credentials. The organization connects issuer-verified credential records to real employment, earnings, and education outcomes so partners can improve programs, guide investment, and strengthen learner pathways.
CredLens is two years old, has a firmly established platform, a growing client base, and backing from Strada Education Foundation. The organization is scaling and building the team to support that growth.
Mission and Values Alignment
The role requires alignment with CredLens’ commitment to equitable pathways through postsecondary education and training, especially for people who have faced major barriers. The team also values a collaborative environment, a strong and healthy workplace culture, and shared commitment to its guiding principles.
How to Apply
Applicants should submit a current resume or CV, a portfolio link, and a brief cover note of no more than a few paragraphs explaining why the role appeals to them. Applications without a portfolio will not be reviewed.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $79,300 to $85,800 per year, plus an annual bonus. The pay range is based on national compensation benchmark data and may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and labor market differences. Final offers will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications relative to the role, and internal equity may also be considered. The posted range represents the expected starting base salary for this position, with room for future growth. Full-time employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to the organization’s culture, employee experience, and mission. Candidates from the global majority, immigrant, bilingual, and bicultural communities, people with disabilities, members of LGBTQIA2S+ and gender nonconforming communities, and individuals with other diverse lived experiences are strongly encouraged to apply.
