Job summary

Nevada Beverage is seeking a route driver to deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a set group of customer accounts while following company procedures throughout the delivery process. This role is part of a bargaining unit.

The position is hourly, with potential earnings of up to $30.42 per hour.

Key duties

• Deliver all assigned products to customer accounts on the route.
• Place merchandise in the correct locations at each account, including storage areas, coolers, and shelves when needed.
• Rotate stock according to company policies and procedures.
• Collect any checks or payments due.

Additional duties

• Carry out required walk-around inspections of the truck.
• Check vehicle fluids daily.
• Count down truck side bays once per day.
• Complete required paperwork accurately.
• Escalate concerns and opportunities to the supervisor.
• Attend meetings as scheduled.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and presentable.

Required skills and abilities

The driver must hold a Nevada Class A license and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record at all times. Safe work habits are essential because this is a safety-sensitive position. The role requires the ability to read invoices accurately and make correct deliveries based on them.

Strong customer service and communication skills are important, including the ability to explain invoices or bills clearly to customers, as well as communicate professionally with coworkers and managers. The job also requires working independently, handling issues as they arise, and making sound decisions during the day.

The employee will work in outdoor and vehicle-related conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain. The role also requires use of an electric pallet jack, two-wheeler, and handheld computer. Basic computer knowledge is needed, and the driver must be able to speak, understand, and write in English.

Training attendance is mandatory for all required Anheuser-Busch and Nevada Beverage Company courses.

Physical demands

This position involves frequent physical activity across an 8 to 10 hour shift, including pushing and pulling a pallet jack with loads up to 2,500 pounds, using a hand truck with loads up to 300 pounds, and moving product weighing 20 to 150 pounds. Repeated twisting, bending, turning, squatting, reaching, pulling, and pushing are part of the job.

Education and experience

This is an entry-level role that requires a high school diploma. Previous experience in the beverage industry is required, along with a Class A CDL license.
