Founder's Associate (d/f/m)

Role Overview

This full-time, permanent position is based in Munich and follows an office-first setup. The annual gross salary is between €58,000 and €70,000, with an additional target bonus of €5,000. The role requires strong English skills at C1 level; German is a plus, with B2+ considered ideal but not mandatory.

What You’ll Work On

As a Founder's Associate, you will partner closely with both co-CEOs and the Chief of Staff. Your work will span internal AI automation across support functions, process and operating-model improvements, and a variety of high-impact zero-to-one initiatives. You will also contribute to internal and external stakeholder communication, including all-hands meetings, shareholder interactions, public relations, and conference-related support.

What We’re Looking For

The company values practical experience and problem-solving ability over formal credentials. Candidates may come from business, engineering, hybrid disciplines such as business informatics, or self-taught paths. The key expectation is evidence of ownership, execution, and thoughtful decision-making.

• Between 1 and 3 years of professional experience; substantive internships can be counted, especially in startup or scale-up environments where you handled full-cycle delivery.
• Proof that you have launched and carried projects through to completion, whether through side projects, internship work, a small venture, or an initiative you started yourself.
• A strong operator mindset, including the ability to question existing workflows, work with non-technical colleagues, and identify a simpler and better-framed solution.
• Solid coding skills with Python as a requirement; you should be able to understand a codebase, build a small one, write tests, and think through performance, latency, and failure handling.
• Practical experience building AI agents or LLM-based workflows in production or other real environments, including integration with at least one external system such as an API, database, or tool.
• A strong bias toward action, with comfort shipping a first version quickly and improving it through iteration rather than waiting for a perfect brief.
• Strong English communication skills at C1 level and comfort operating in an English-first workplace.

Nice to Have

• Experience with one or more agent frameworks such as LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, CrewAI, or n8n.
• Working knowledge of RAG, vector stores, evaluation methods, and advanced prompt design.
• Exposure to Google Workspace, Slack, Atlassian, or HRIS/payroll APIs.
• Ability to work with TypeScript and SQL.
• Experience in customer interviews, stakeholder discovery, product scoping, or sales-oriented work that was converted into a working specification.
• German language ability at B2+ level.
• Background in B2C, energy, or climate-tech, which is helpful but not required.

Additional Information

You will have a high degree of autonomy from day one and be expected to decide what should be built, bought, or left unchanged, while owning the outcome. The role is designed for someone who wants real responsibility in a fast-moving, tech-heavy environment and can help turn the company into one of Europe’s most AI-leveraged teams of similar size.
