Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold a B.Sc., Higher National Diploma, or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university. Additional exposure or certification in Nautical Science, Marine Logistics, Onshore & Offshore operations, or Port Operations will be considered an advantage.

Experience and Working Profile

A background of 8 to 10 years in logistics management and coordination for offshore capital projects is required. The role calls for strong collaboration skills, the ability to work across multicultural contractor teams, and the confidence to operate under pressure while using analytical and IT tools effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The position covers planning, coordination, and control of onshore, offshore, and subsea logistics activities linked to marine inspections, mobilization, and installation work for offshore projects. The coordinator will serve as a central point of contact between project teams, internal departments, joint venture partners, stakeholders, and external organizations.

Responsibilities also include evaluating marine vessels submitted by contractors to confirm they meet project needs, supporting contractors through inspection readiness, and assisting project leadership during the bidding stage by reviewing proposed offshore marine support vessels. The role involves managing logistics-related back charges in coordination with project management, cost control, and contract teams.

In addition, the coordinator will work with marine, HSE, and technical authorities to secure initial approvals and inspections of contractor-proposed marine spreads, ensure punch items are closed on time, arrange follow-up and final inspections, and keep leadership and engineering teams updated on execution issues with practical recommendations. The role also includes acting as the primary communication point for offshore execution matters, contributing to offshore logistics scope reviews during FEED and bid evaluation, and organizing offshore surveys and marine planning activities.
