Role overview
We are looking for a Prep Chef to join a major UK hospitality group and help deliver memorable guest experiences through well-prepared food and consistently high standards. The role is based in Bristol, England, United Kingdom and is part of a fast-paced airport environment where early shifts may begin as early as 3:00am, with the benefit of finishing early on those days.
The company operates nearly 300 restaurants and pub restaurants across the UK, including a concessions business focused largely on UK airports, along with well-known brands such as wagamama and Barburrito. The organisation places strong value on its people and aims to create workplaces that support growth, development and rewarding careers.
What you will do
You will prepare tasty food while helping maintain a strong standard of service and kitchen operation. The role calls for someone who can stay organised, manage time well, work closely with others, and also handle tasks independently during busy periods.
Working style and expectations
Success in this role means taking ownership of quality and operational standards, staying reliable under pressure, responding well to feedback, and contributing positively to the team. Flexibility is important because airport operations can require very early start times.
Benefits
You will receive free meals during shifts, access to tronc, and up to 30% off across all brands with no cap on the number of guests, including wagamama. Additional advantages include duty-free discounts excluding alcohol and cigarettes, access to a savings platform for everyday purchases, pay access through Wagestream as earnings build, and strong training and development opportunities, including apprenticeships open to everyone.
Additional information
The employer is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where people are valued for their skills, experience and perspectives. The company is also a disability confident employer and supports equal opportunity for all team members. Reasonable adjustments can be requested at any stage of the application or interview process.
Reference and screening requirements
Applicants should be able to provide a five-year history of work, education and personal references, and must be willing to undergo a criminal record check.
Who this role suits
This position is well suited to someone with kitchen experience who enjoys working in a high-energy environment, can multitask effectively, and is comfortable with early starts and varied shift patterns.
