Process Engineer

Role overview

This position plays a hands-on role in steering production activities according to the company’s production strategy and operating guidelines. The successful candidate will help drive short-, medium-, and long-term production targets while ensuring all work complies with customer specifications as well as relevant laws, rules, and regulations. The role also supports the Assistant Process Manager in running trials that help move production processes from laboratory-scale testing to full-line scale-up.

Key responsibilities

• Support day-to-day production operations and keep a close watch on the manufacturing process.
• Make sure production teams work to schedule and deliver products that meet quality standards and customer requirements on time.
• Manage process settings for chocolate production, including analysis, guideline development, and continuous improvement.
• Lead industrial development trials for new products and take ownership of recipe transfer projects.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs for the position.
• Handle rework management and traceability responsibilities.
• Ensure products remain within specification and align with customer expectations.
• Collect accurate specification details and support specification revisions where needed.
• Contribute as a HACCP team member with a strong focus on quality control.
• Take part in pack code creation initiatives.
• Join new product trials and equipment testing shifts when required.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for someone with a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial, Process, or another relevant engineering discipline. Around 3 years of experience in the chocolate industry is expected, along with a solid understanding of the business and strong SAP skills. The right candidate should also bring clear communication, strong interpersonal ability, and excellent coordination and planning skills, with the discipline to prioritize work and complete projects proactively.
