QA/QC Engineer

Role Overview

This position is focused on managing and tracking quality assurance and quality control tasks for the NYU Project. The objective is to make sure maintenance activities, site inspections, service delivery, and operational outputs meet client expectations, contractual commitments, approved quality benchmarks, and internal procedures. The role also includes spotting non-compliance, supporting remediation efforts, keeping clear quality records, and contributing to ongoing service improvements and stronger client satisfaction.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Set up and oversee QA/QC processes so that project work aligns with client expectations, contract scope, company standards, and approved quality plans.
• Make sure all site work follows SOPs, method statements, inspection checklists, and defined quality requirements.
• Check quality documents, reports, and project records for correctness, completeness, and compliance.

Site Inspections and Quality Control

• Perform routine checks on maintenance work, services, materials, and completed activities throughout the project.
• Oversee hard services, soft services, MEP, civil work, subcontractor activities, and operational tasks to confirm quality standards are being met.
• Detect defects, service shortcomings, non-conformities, and improvement areas.
• Confirm that corrective actions have been completed correctly and within the agreed timeframe.

Audits and Documentation

• Carry out internal quality audits and assist with client or third-party audits whenever needed.
• Draft inspection reports, audit reports, NCRs, corrective action reports, and quality summaries.
• Keep precise records of inspections, observations, approvals, rejections, and corrective measures.
• Ensure all quality-related files are organized and accessible for review or audit purposes.

Non-Conformance and Corrective Actions

• Issue and track Non-Conformance Reports for quality concerns or work that does not meet requirements.
• Work with operations teams, engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and service teams to close out quality observations.
• Check whether corrective and preventive actions are working effectively.
• Escalate unresolved or recurring quality concerns to the QA/QC Manager or Project Manager.

Client and Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, internal stakeholders, and subcontractors on quality matters.
• Participate in site inspections, quality meetings, project reviews, and operational walk-throughs.
• Share updates on inspection outcomes, NCR progress, corrective actions, and overall quality performance.
• Help the project team sustain client satisfaction and service quality.

Continuous Improvement

• Review inspection outcomes, audit observations, complaints, and repeated issues to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Suggest process enhancements that strengthen quality, compliance, efficiency, and service consistency.
• Promote quality awareness among site teams through guidance, briefings, and sharing of best practices.
• Encourage accountability, ownership of quality, and a continuous improvement mindset.

The role is based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates and is a full-time, on-site position.
