Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer for a client in Denver, Colorado. This role is best suited to a detail-focused QA professional with a mix of manual and automated testing experience, who can help deliver dependable software products. The position calls for solid knowledge of Agile ways of working, software testing standards, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), along with the ability to work closely with teams across the business and technology functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, run, and update test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Carry out functional, regression, system, integration, UI, and load testing.
- Use both manual and automated testing methods to confirm software quality and performance.
- Check applications against business and functional specifications.
- Find, record, monitor, and help fix defects and configuration problems.
- Work alongside developers, business analysts, and project stakeholders throughout the development cycle.
- Assist with release verification, user acceptance testing, and production readiness checks.
- Suggest and apply enhancements to QA workflows, testing practices, and automation approaches.
- Support ongoing quality improvement efforts within Agile development teams.
Required Qualifications
- Four to six years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.
- Strong knowledge of Agile development methods and the SDLC.
- Practical experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Good working knowledge of JavaScript and JSON.
- Experience using IBM DB2 UDB databases.
- Strong analytical ability, troubleshooting skills, and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to test automation frameworks and related tools.
- Understanding of software release management and defect tracking processes.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving, collaborative Agile environment.
- Interest in building reliable, high-quality software solutions.
Work Location
This position is based in Denver, CO and may require a hybrid or onsite presence as needed.
