Quality Operations Technician

Job Overview

The Quality Operations Technician supports operational problem-solving within the quality function and makes use of established procedures and technical methods to choose practical solutions without needing supervisory sign-off. In addition, the QA Administrator supports the Project Quality Manager and the wider team with day-to-day administrative work.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for craft supervisors who need up-to-date standards, codes, technical references, inspection tools, and measuring equipment.
• Make sure inspection forms use the approved standard template and are completed each month.
• Keep quality documentation and the relevant codes and standards organized and current.
• Act as the link between the facility or vessel and the administrative office on corrective action register matters.
• Help define a way to track non-conformances such as production delays, unplanned helicopter trips, and unnecessary vessel movements.
• Support audit preparation and corrective action register closures for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISM, and ISPS requirements as assigned.
• Help coordinate and speed up quality-related facility issues.
• Assist with measuring key performance indicators for the facility or vessel.
• Maintain registers for ladders, below-hook lifting devices, corrective actions, training, and MSDS records.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Applicants should have strong computer literacy.
• The ideal person will be structured, reliable, and disciplined, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal ability is important for working effectively with operational managers across the organization.
