Role Overview
This is a client-facing sales position where you will work across several sales channels to assess potential clients, qualify leads, and schedule discovery meetings for the account executive team. You will be responsible for creating an excellent first impression and delivering a high standard of customer service to every lead you engage with.
The company provides both formal and hands-on training in sales and commercial law so you can better identify the legal and commercial issues faced by Australian businesses. Although a regular flow of inbound SME leads will be provided, you will also be expected to build your own pipeline through outreach. Top-performing SDRs are able to increase their earnings through networking, referrals, and outbound activity.
This opportunity suits a driven sales professional who wants SDR experience in a fast-moving startup environment. Strong performers may also progress into more senior roles within the Growth team over time, with clear targets and an uncapped commission structure.
Work Location and Schedule
This is a full-time role based in the Surry Hills office. The position starts with onsite work five days a week, with the option to work remotely on Mondays becoming available over time.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound SME leads across different communication channels.
- Assess prospects and discover their business requirements.
- Arrange discovery calls with BDMs, referred to internally as Legal Solutions Consultants.
- Organise and prioritise leads so the highest-value opportunities are addressed first.
- Maintain accurate customer information in the CRM.
- Deliver a strong initial client experience at every touchpoint.
- Follow up with warm prospects and continue building interest.
- Meet performance targets and support team growth and culture.
Candidate Profile
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar SDR or BDR role supporting business leads.
- Strong motivation for sales, with a desire to achieve targets and earn rewards.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a client-first mindset and reliability in follow-through.
- A warm, professional, resilient personality and a positive contribution to team culture.
- Comfortable working under pressure, balancing priorities, and resolving issues quickly.
