Overview
V/Line is seeking a Stock Controller for its Lara, Victoria site. This is a permanent full-time position within a supportive and collaborative team, with the added benefit of free Myki travel across regional Victoria.

Role Summary
In this position, you will support daily inventory operations across depots and project work. Based full-time at Lara, you will coordinate stock availability, work with internal stakeholders, keep system information accurate and help ensure maintenance and project activities have the materials they need when they need them.
Key Duties
Your work will involve overseeing stock movement, warehousing activity and inventory distribution, while also maintaining strong control over records and processes.
- Oversee stock, warehousing and distribution activities.
- Review inventory levels and monitor Min/Max settings.
- Arrange cycle counts, audits and stock accuracy checks.
- Look into variances and uphold inventory control standards.
- Create pick lists and complete related system entries.
- Keep accurate records for receipts, deliveries and purchases.
- Answer questions from stakeholders about stock availability and item details.
- Assist with reporting and ongoing improvements to inventory processes.
- Coordinate replenishment needs across depots with internal teams.
About You
The ideal candidate is organised, accountable and comfortable working independently while maintaining strong working relationships. You should be confident using systems and data to solve problems and keep operations moving smoothly.
- Experience in warehousing, logistics or a comparable environment.
- Practical experience with JD Edwards (JDE) or a similar ERP platform.
- Strong Excel skills at intermediate to advanced level.
- A current forklift licence is essential.
- Ability to interpret data and resolve stock mismatches.
- Good communication skills and confidence engaging stakeholders.
- Self-driven approach with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Experience in rail or maintenance settings is an advantage.

Employment Terms
This role is paid at an hourly rate of $41.53, plus 12% superannuation. The package also includes 4 weeks of annual leave and 17.5% leave loading, in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administration Employees Agreement 2023.
