About the Role
Codentrel, a technology solutions provider located in Mississauga, Ontario, is hiring a Telecom Analyst – IT to support mobile device operations and keep telecom services running smoothly. The position focuses on troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting end users, and helping maintain day-to-day telecom functionality across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical support for Samsung and BlackBerry mobile devices, including diagnosing and fixing hardware and software issues.
- Help with Android smartphone configuration, upgrades, and updates such as OS releases, firmware changes, and security patches according to company standards.
- Provide general telecom support by assisting clients, supporting new deployments, and resolving technical problems.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting mobile devices and applications, and escalate more complex cases when necessary.
- Work closely with the Service Desk to complete assigned requests based on urgency and priority.
- Communicate clearly with vendors and internal teams to support issue resolution and operational needs.
- Carry out product testing when required.
- Stay available for operational needs, which may include occasional travel and after-hours support.
Requirements
- A college diploma or university degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience is needed; telecom industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Sync, and mobile device management tools.
- Previous experience in operational support and implementing solutions.
- Exposure to Telematics Technology will be considered an advantage.
- Comfort using core business software, especially the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and use time well.
- Self-driven, flexible, and able to collaborate effectively with others.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Good written and spoken communication skills; French is a plus.
Work Schedule and Conditions
- Regular working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Evening and weekend work may be required for deadlines, deployments, or production support.
- The job may involve sitting for long periods and lifting items weighing more than 20 lbs.
- Some travel may be necessary.
