Role Overview
As an Account Manager, you will own client renewals and lead account expansion through upselling and cross-selling. The role centers on strengthening customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring clients continue to get value from Mongoose’s solutions. Success is measured by retention, renewals, expansion quota attainment, and growth in platform adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead renewal conversations and consistently achieve or surpass renewal and expansion targets.
- Work with the Customer Success Manager to create retention and growth plans for assigned accounts.
- Build outbound pipeline each week and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Deepen relationships with clients through regular outreach and Quarterly Reviews.
- Collaborate with Client Success so commercial ownership and product adoption work together effectively.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Leadership, and Product to share updates, surface risks, and bring customer feedback into planning.
- Represent the company at conferences, industry events, trade shows, and onsite client meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and use account data and health metrics to guide strategy.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing renewal and/or expansion quotas in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets and growing existing accounts.
- Ability to build a healthy pipeline and close opportunities with strong conversion rates.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex ideas.
- Proactive, strategic problem-solving approach with a focus on improving outcomes.
- Comfort using data to identify opportunities and guide decisions.
- Experience working with CRM tools; HubSpot knowledge is a plus.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with Marketing, Product, and Client Success teams.
- Higher education experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must be open to onsite visits and travel when required.

Compensation
The base salary for this role is $80,000, with a variable component of $70,000. Total on-target earnings are $150,000.
