Role Overview
The Account Manager will own renewals and expansion revenue for existing customers, with responsibility for upsells, cross-sells, retention, and account growth. This person will work closely with Customer Success to build strategic plans, reduce renewal risk early, and identify new opportunities for deeper platform adoption. Performance will be evaluated through retention, renewal achievement, and expansion quota attainment.
What You Will Do
- Lead renewal conversations and consistently meet or surpass assigned renewal and expansion targets.
- Build structured retention and growth plans together with the Customer Success Manager.
- Develop expansion pipeline through regular outbound activity and account planning.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities by connecting Mongoose solutions to broader client needs.
- Strengthen relationships through Quarterly Reviews and strategic client outreach.
- Partner with a dedicated Client Success Manager to balance commercial ownership with adoption and value realization.
- Work with Marketing, Leadership, and Product to share client feedback, opportunities, and risk insights.
- Represent Mongoose at conferences, industry events, trade shows, and onsite meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor account health signals, and communicate updates internally.
What You Need
- Demonstrated success carrying renewal and/or expansion quota in a B2B SaaS setting.
- History of exceeding targets and building strong pipeline with healthy win rates.
- Ability to grow accounts through renewals, upsells, and cross-sells in a consultative way.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Proactive, strategic problem-solving mindset.
- Comfort using data to guide decisions and uncover opportunities.
- Experience with CRM tools; HubSpot experience is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Client Success.
- Higher education experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Compensation
The base salary for this position is $80,000, with a $70,000 variable component and total on-target earnings of $150,000.
