Role overview

This role involves assembling medical device components into finished products with accuracy, steady pace, and strict compliance with company and regulatory standards. The position is based in a cleanroom manufacturing environment and requires careful handling of tools, materials, drawings, and traceability records.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble medical devices at multiple workstations using a wide range of specialized tools and equipment, while following work instructions, engineering drawings, and scheduled work orders.
• Use computers to access drawings and record parts status and related production data.
• Check inventory at the beginning of the day and again when moving to the next work order.
• Carry out tasks in line with standard operating procedures and documented work instructions, including accurate completion of device history records and other manufacturing system entries where required.
• Support and guide junior team members by coaching, training, monitoring line performance, and demonstrating the correct method of work when the Lead is unavailable.
• Perform line clearance activities such as cleaning and sanitizing workstations at shift start and during work order changes, while ensuring all tools and components needed for production are ready.
• Conduct self-checks, including visual inspection under magnification when needed, and review colleagues’ work in sequence to provide helpful feedback.
• Escalate process issues, equipment concerns, and any changes in performance to the supervisor for follow-up and correction.
• Maintain housekeeping standards across the work area and carry out other incidental duties as assigned.

Experience and education

The role requires at least 4 years of prior relevant experience. Secondary education is preferred, and prior experience in medical device assembly is an advantage.

Skills and working requirements

Candidates should have strong communication skills, the ability to read, understand, write, and speak English, and basic numerical ability. The position calls for the ability to work with limited supervision, follow detailed manufacturing instructions, collaborate closely with colleagues and supervisors, and give and receive feedback effectively. A willingness to learn and retain new training content, work overtime when needed, and comply with environmental, health, safety, quality, cleanroom, and company rules is essential. The job also requires attention to injury prevention and environmental protection responsibilities within the employee’s area of control.
