Role overview
This position supports complex operational work by monitoring daily activity, analyzing exception-based cases, and assisting customers across specialized processes. The role involves reviewing, validating, and entering information into internal systems while also researching and resolving requests from other operational teams, business units, external clients, and industry counterparties.
What you will do
- Handle analysis and processing support for specialized, exception-driven, and complex operational tasks within a designated department.
- Check, confirm, and record data accurately in systems used to run departmental workflows.
- Follow departmental procedures, accountabilities, manuals, and task instructions relevant to the role.
- Provide customer service and research support to help resolve issues or retrieve needed information from other operations teams, RBC business units, external customers, or industry participants.
- Resolve routine escalations independently and involve the Team Lead or Manager when required, in line with established procedures.
- Recommend process adjustments and system enhancements that can reduce risk or improve efficiency.
- Support manual, complex, and highly specialized operational processing as needed.
- Share knowledge with teammates and serve as a resource for others in the department.
What you need to succeed
Must-have background
- At least 1 year of experience in securities, banking, technology, or a related job-specific industry.
- A 4-year degree from an accredited university, or an equivalent qualification, or a high school diploma/equivalent plus 3 or more years of experience in securities, banking, technology, or a related field.
