Role overview
This is an on-site cleaning position covering Southampton, Fareham, Gosport, and Portsmouth. The Cleaner will handle regular cleaning duties in residential and/or commercial properties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces. Day-to-day work may also involve cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, disinfecting frequently touched areas, emptying waste bins, and restocking supplies. The role requires following cleaning schedules and checklists, using products and equipment safely, and escalating any repair or safety concerns to a supervisor. The successful person should arrive promptly for assigned shifts, work efficiently within agreed time limits, and maintain a polite, professional approach at all times.
Qualifications and skills
- Prior work in cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial roles is preferred, although a willingness to learn and follow cleaning standards is also acceptable.
