Freelance Presentation Designer

Role overview

Mindrift is hiring a freelance Presentation Designer for the Tendem project, where you’ll help build polished, high-impact presentations within a hybrid AI-and-human workflow. The role is focused on turning complex information into clear, persuasive visual stories for decks and one-pagers.

This is a part-time remote opportunity suited to creative professionals with practical experience in visual communication, information design, and storytelling. You will work alongside Tendem Agents that handle repetitive work, while you contribute judgment, domain knowledge, and presentation design expertise.

What you’ll do

As a Presentation Designer on this freelance project, your main focus will be storytelling, layout, and visual hierarchy. You’ll be expected to transform raw data and narrative inputs into attractive, high-stakes presentations that communicate clearly and persuasively.

You’ll use tools such as PowerPoint and Keynote, as well as Adobe Creative Suite or Figma, to produce premium-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Create polished pitch decks and executive-style one-pagers for targeted audiences.
• Convert complex information and datasets into concise, visually structured storytelling.
• Improve decks with custom typography, refined motion, and consistent visual treatment.
• Maintain a premium style that blends corporate professionalism with a creative edge.
• Review each deliverable carefully for alignment, pacing, branding, and overall presentation quality before submission.

Requirements

• Preferably 2+ years of experience in graphic design, presentation design, visual storytelling, or data visualization.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a similar creative field is an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of presentation software such as PowerPoint and Keynote for complex, animated slide builds.
• Advanced ability with Adobe Creative Suite (including Illustrator and Photoshop) or Figma for custom graphics and layout work.
• Ability to simplify layered data and information structures into minimalist, easy-to-follow visuals.
• Strong command of typography and animation, with an eye for refined, professional presentation design.
• English proficiency at upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher is required.
• Demonstrated experience producing premium, corporate-meets-creative presentation layouts.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to producing visually exact work.
• Ability to work independently and solve design problems without close supervision.
• A CV that includes a portfolio link showcasing high-end presentations, pitch decks, and data visualization examples; applications without a relevant portfolio will not be considered.

Project details

This assignment is estimated to take around 10 to 20 hours per week during active phases, depending on project needs. This figure is only an estimate and does not represent a guaranteed workload.

Compensation

Contributors may earn up to the equivalent of $50 per hour on this project, depending on experience level and contribution speed. Pay can vary by project based on scope, complexity, and expertise required.
