Role Overview

This position sits within the Sky Dive Dubai division. The Ground Controller will help ensure safe and efficient aircraft loading, maintain communication with pilots about drop timing and locations, oversee skydivers as they land, and respond appropriately to any incidents that arise during operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the manifest team so every aircraft load includes the correct jumpers and boards smoothly.
• Stay in direct contact with pilots to provide updates on weather, airspace status, and the appropriate drop point for skydivers.
• Track weather conditions and, with management support, decide who can safely jump as conditions evolve.
• Watch all takeoffs and landings and provide safety guidance or corrective direction to skydivers when needed.
• Liaise with air traffic control to keep aerial operations safe and compliant.
• Prepare ground control at the start of each workday by testing radios, opening the airspace, setting up the landing zone, and refuelling buggies.
• Maintain all operational equipment and vehicles through routine checks, cleaning, and proper storage to support safety and longevity.
• Keep transport vehicles clean and in working order so they are always ready for operation.
• Respond immediately to any incident or accident during skydiving activities by providing basic first aid, stabilising injuries, and coordinating emergency assistance when required.

Qualifications and Experience

Preferred candidates should have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent relevant qualification, along with at least 3 years of related experience.
