Role Overview
Tata Consultancy Services is hiring an iOS Developer for its Kochi location. The role focuses on building and maintaining mobile applications using Swift and related Apple development technologies, with strong emphasis on quality, performance, accessibility, and collaboration with distributed teams.
Core Technical Expectations
- Hands-on expertise in Swift and a solid understanding of the Swift ecosystem are essential.
- Deep familiarity with advanced Swift topics such as GCD, closures, and higher-order functions is required.
- A strong grasp of object-oriented programming principles is expected.
- Working knowledge of Cocoa APIs on OS X is needed.
- You should understand performance boundaries and the behavior of applications under load.
- Knowledge of memory handling and multithreaded programming is important.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs with back-end services is expected.
- A practical sense of UI design and a user-first mindset are important for this role.
- Capability in writing unit tests using XCTest and XC UI tests is required.
- SwiftUI knowledge is desirable and will be considered an added advantage.
- Ability to build universal apps with accessibility support is required.
- Proficiency with code versioning systems is required.
- Familiarity with continuous integration practices is required.
Additional Experience Preferred
- Prior exposure to designing solutions for enterprise-scale applications will be a plus.
- Experience with software development life cycles, agile delivery methods, and continuous integration is expected.
- Background in developing large-scale, high-volume, multi-tier applications is desirable.
- Experience applying best-practice accessibility standards in app development is valuable.
- Strong communication skills are needed to work effectively with teams distributed across locations.

Compensation
The role offers a salary of INR 10,00,000 to INR 20,00,000 per year.
