Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is hiring a seasoned Agile practitioner for a Scrum Master role focused on data platform modernization. This position supports a client in the United States and is centered on guiding Scrum teams through enterprise modernization work, including cloud migration and the transition away from legacy data warehouse environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Run core Scrum events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Support the team in applying Agile and Scrum principles, while encouraging ongoing improvement.
- Clear blockers that could slow down sprint delivery and keep work moving smoothly.
- Help coordinate modernization efforts for enterprise data platforms and cloud migration programs.
- Track and manage dependencies across teams so milestones are delivered on time.
- Work closely with Product Owners, business partners, architects, and engineering groups to keep goals aligned.
- Review sprint performance using metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and delivery status.
- Raise Agile maturity by suggesting and implementing process enhancements across teams.
- Spot and reduce risks tied to legacy platform retirement and cloud transformation work.
- Promote teamwork, transparency, and clear communication across distributed teams.
Required Qualifications
The role calls for deep experience in IT delivery, with a strong background in Agile leadership and enterprise transformation. Candidates should have led cross-functional teams in complex environments and be comfortable working through large-scale data platform change programs.
- At least 12 years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 5 years working as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
- At least 3 years supporting cloud migration or enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Experience guiding Agile teams through major data platform or data warehouse transformation projects.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams in large, complex enterprise settings.
- Strong communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Required Technical Skills
- Good grasp of enterprise data warehousing concepts and SQL.
- Experience with Teradata or a similar enterprise data warehouse platform.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
- Understanding of ETL and ELT workflows, data integration, and migration approaches.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on effective Agile delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or an equivalent credential.
- Background supporting enterprise data modernization or cloud transformation programs.
- Familiarity with scaled Agile frameworks, including SAFe.
- Experience collaborating with distributed or remote Agile teams.
