Role overview
Rolls-Royce is hiring a Test Vehicle Engineer to join its test engineering group in Indianapolis, IN. In this full-time onsite role, you will help plan, design, and carry out subsystem-level tests that support development programs. The position focuses on mechanical testing, test system setup, data analysis, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

What you will do
- Plan and carry out mechanical testing for subsystems and components.
- Build and configure test setups that meet customer test objectives.
- Coordinate readiness reviews, risk reviews, and data review meetings.
- Develop, diagnose, and support complex electro-mechanical test systems, instrumentation, advanced data acquisition tools, and experimental test control systems.
- Analyze test data to troubleshoot issues and share findings with internal and external customers.
- Oversee facility assets and instrumentation, including calibration tracking and scheduled maintenance.

Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering plus at least 1 year of engineering experience, or
- Master’s degree in Engineering, or
- PhD in Engineering.
- U.S. citizenship is required to be considered.
Preferred experience
- Hands-on experience with LabView.
- Exposure to aerospace engines and engine controls technology.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a salary range of $70,629 to $105,943 per year. Rolls-Royce also provides a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay and a discretionary bonus plan.
