Role overview
This full-time carpenter role is based in Doha, Qatar, within the Engineering & Facilities function. The position is non-management and is focused on keeping the property in excellent condition through carpentry, finishing, and minor repair work across guest and back-of-house areas.
What you will do
- Construct, fit, and repair walls and partitions, including drywall, wallpaper, millwork, molding, and decorative faux finishes.
- Install and restore surface finishes such as laminates.
- Carry out rough framing work for doors, frames, windows, and cabinetry.
- Maintain, repair, and build wooden items and structures throughout the property, including partitions, doors, and furniture.
- Handle small maintenance fixes such as tightening loose toilet seats, replacing light bulbs, and patching wall damage.
- Prepare purchase requests, obtain manager approval, and coordinate with approved vendors when ordering materials.
- Load, move, and unload freight from elevators to the designated work area using a hand truck.

- Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries promptly.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Keep uniforms and personal appearance neat and professional.
- Protect confidential company information and company property.

- Build positive working relationships and support guests in line with company standards.
- Welcome guests respectfully, respond to their needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express appreciation sincerely.
- Be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to grasp, turn, and handle objects of different sizes and weights.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, stoop, pull, and move on ladders as needed.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Preferred background
The preferred candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of relevant work experience. No supervisory background or certification is required.
