About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to architect, develop, and uphold scalable server-side software solutions. The ideal professional should bring a solid foundation in software engineering principles, proficiency with contemporary backend technologies, and a passion for solving intricate challenges while collaborating with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

Create, maintain, and enhance robust backend applications.
Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to best engineering practices.
Refactor and streamline legacy codebases to boost performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Eliminate outdated or redundant code to simplify systems and decrease technical debt.
Develop and manage build automation workflows.
Implement and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines to improve deployment efficiency.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects promptly.
Develop asynchronous and concurrent applications to enhance performance.
Analyze application performance problems and apply tuning for optimization.
Modernize legacy systems as required for operational continuity.
Create thorough unit tests to guarantee high software quality.
Integrate applications seamlessly with existing custom backend services and APIs.
Design scalable, reliable solutions to address open-ended and evolving technical issues.
Promote best engineering practices through code reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to align development goals.
Engage and contribute to relevant open-source projects where applicable.

Candidate Profile and Required Skills

Extensive experience in backend/server-side software development.
Strong programming abilities and expertise in software design.
Proven capability in code refactoring and reducing technical debt.
Familiarity with build tools and automation processes.
Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration implementations.
Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Solid understanding of asynchronous programming models.
Experience analyzing and optimizing application performance.
Comfortable maintaining and upgrading legacy software.
Proficient in writing comprehensive unit tests.
Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.
Strong communication and teamwork skills in collaborative environments.
Experience integrating with custom or legacy backend services.
Ability to design scalable solutions for ambiguous or evolving requirements.

Qualifications
