About Flex Pay by Upgrade
Flex Pay by Upgrade is a rapidly expanding Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) solution designed to boost retailer conversion rates, increase average order values, and provide consumers with seamless financing options. By collaborating with premier retail and e-commerce brands, Flex Pay offers flexible payment solutions that foster growth for both merchants and shoppers. The company is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its Retail team, focusing on nurturing and expanding relationships with merchant partners. This role is well-suited for professionals with a strong background in partnerships, customer success, or similar client-facing positions, aiming to advance their careers in the fintech and e-commerce sectors. The Account Manager will work closely with the Retail team, Integrations, Operations, and Marketing departments to ensure merchant success and growth with Flex Pay.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and manage daily interactions with key retail and e-commerce merchant partners.
- Facilitate merchant onboarding, implementation processes, and ongoing initiatives to drive account expansion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Integrations, Product, Operations, and Marketing to enhance merchant performance and resolve issues.
- Monitor account health, conduct regular performance reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and identify opportunities for merchant growth and engagement.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns, product launches, and operational updates with partners.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Flex Pay product suite and effectively communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records of account activities and reporting within the CRM system.
- Foster a collaborative, proactive, and positive environment for both merchants and internal teams.
Requirements
- Possess 8-10 years of experience in account management, partnerships, customer success, client solutions, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing relationships with C-suite executives in mid-market or enterprise-level accounts.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and diverse digital retail ecosystems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong relationships.
- Proficiency in utilizing AI tools to enhance daily productivity and communication.
- Comfortable collaborating with both business and technical teams across departments.
- Technically adept and capable of working effectively with implementation teams.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong organizational, proactive, and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintain a positive outlook and a strong commitment to teamwork.

- An MBA or an advanced degree in business, strategy, or a related discipline is preferred.

Additional Information
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 USD, supplemented by uncapped variable compensation, equity, and benefits. The final base salary will be determined based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience. English proficiency is required for all roles due to interaction with global Upgrade staff.
