Account Manager

Role overview

This position is focused on managing rental accounts while delivering a strong customer experience, supporting sales, and helping keep accounts in good standing. The role blends account management, in-store and field customer service, product sales, deliveries and pickups, and early-stage collections. It also contributes to store presentation, vehicle upkeep, and day-to-day operating standards.

The organization emphasizes internal growth, noting that the vast majority of Store Managers, District Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents advanced from the Account Manager role.

Compensation is based on an hourly range starting at $13.73 and going up to $16.15 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a defined group of customer accounts and strengthen ongoing customer relationships.
• Handle early collections for accounts that are 1 to 6 days overdue and work toward daily and weekly collection targets.
• Protect account performance by using account management tools to secure payment commitments and maintain account health.
• Complete assigned delivery, pickup, and customer follow-up routes.
• Provide high-quality customer service in the store, by phone, and in customers’ homes.
• Support revenue growth by selling new rental agreements and related products.
• Safely move, install, and handle merchandise during delivery and pickup work.
• Keep the showroom and company vehicles clean, organized, and in good condition.
• Follow all company safety rules and operating procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving history.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.

Physical demands and work setting

• Ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Capability to operate a box truck.
• Comfort with standing and driving for long periods.
• Full-time schedule from Monday through Saturday.
• Sundays off, plus one additional weekday off.
• Role involves active physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing.
