Role Summary

This full-time, on-site position in Dubai is responsible for managing core accounting activities and supporting the wider finance function. The accountant will oversee payable and receivable processes, prepare financial statements, reconcile accounts, process payroll, maintain precise records, and assist with audits. The role also requires ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and working with different teams to improve financial workflows and support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and other routine financial reports.
  • Track budgets and help maintain control over spending and financial planning.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in records.
  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule.
  • Keep financial documentation complete, organized, and up to date.
  • Support internal and external audit activities when required.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve finance-related procedures and share useful financial insights.
  • Ensure adherence to UAE regulatory and tax requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Solid background in accounting and bookkeeping, including reconciliations, reporting, and budget control.
  • Hands-on experience with financial software, such as ERP systems or accounting platforms.
  • Good understanding of UAE compliance and taxation rules.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability for forecasting and risk-related tasks.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling financial data.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CMA certification is considered an advantage.
  • Prior accounting or financial management experience, ideally in the UAE market.
