Job description

Role overview

NX Group, part of the Nippon Express Group, is a major international logistics provider headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Its service portfolio includes air and ocean freight forwarding, cargo handling, relocation, and warehousing, supported by more than 73,000 employees across over 50 countries and regions.

They are seeking a proactive and highly organised Air Export Coordinator to join the Air Freight team in Dublin. The role is focused on coordinating international air export shipments from collection to delivery while upholding strong standards in customer care, compliance, and day-to-day operational accuracy.

You will work closely with major clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure shipping paperwork is correct, customs processes are completed properly, and cargo moves on schedule. Good communication, organisation, and computer skills are essential. This position also offers opportunities for professional growth and future leadership within the UK region.

This opportunity is suited to someone with a solid background in air freight operations and a strong commitment to high-quality work in a fast-moving logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the full air export workflow, including collections, airline reservations, and delivery coordination.
  • Serve as a main point of contact for several major key accounts.
  • Draft and check shipment paperwork such as air waybills, invoices, and customs declarations.
  • Arrange cargo collection from customers and onward delivery to airlines.
  • Book freight space with carriers.
  • Complete consolidation activities.
  • Manage specialist shipments, including GDP and Dangerous Goods, while following the required procedures.
  • Support customs clearance activity and work with IPRs, SIEL/OIEL licences, and Carnet processes.
  • Carry out post-flight checks and finalise consolidations.
  • Close files and complete invoicing at job level.
  • Keep records accurate and enter data using internal systems and standard office software.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Work closely with the wider team and escalate issues to senior management when needed.
  • Take on any other duties assigned by management.

Candidate profile

  • Prior experience in air freight operations.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; experience with AS400 and Thyme IT is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of aviation security requirements.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Works well in a team and performs effectively in a busy, fast-paced setting.
  • Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
  • Self-driven with a practical, solution-focused mindset.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay and benefits package.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Exposure to international markets and logistics networks.
  • Stable role within a global top 10 forwarder.
  • Modern office facilities.
  • Free parking.
