Role Overview
The AML Agent will help ensure the business stays aligned with AML and CFT requirements, along with Customer Due Diligence standards. This position centers on reviewing customer activity, identifying potential money laundering or terrorist financing risks, and working with internal teams to maintain regulatory and ethical compliance. The role reports to the AML Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous risk reviews for new and existing customers to evaluate exposure levels.
- Gather and examine identification and financial documentation, including Source of Wealth (SOW), Source of Funds (SOF), and related records to support customer risk analysis.
- Track customer activity for signs of suspicious behaviour or unusual financial patterns.
- Handle customer interactions in line with the RG framework and internal guidelines.
- Escalate high-risk matters to senior leadership, including the MLRO, and suggest appropriate risk-mitigation actions.
- Help prepare Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for the relevant authorities in line with AML rules.
- Contribute to the creation, refinement, and ongoing improvement of AML/CFT and CDD policies and procedures.
- Partner with Customer Support and Fraud & Payments teams to address AML and due-diligence concerns.
- Support company-wide awareness of compliance obligations and best practices.
Skills and Requirements
The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of AML/CTF requirements, strong analytical and investigative ability, and excellent attention to detail. Clear communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are important. English fluency is required, and experience in the gaming sector is an advantage. The role also requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, changing environment while handling sensitive information with discretion.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in AML, Compliance, KYC, or CDD roles, preferably within financial services or gaming. They should be capable of carrying out customer risk assessments, working collaboratively across teams, and managing confidential information responsibly.
