About the Role
GMMB is seeking an experienced Art Director to join our team. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop compelling campaign concepts for purpose-driven clients. The ideal candidate will translate strategy and audience insights into clear, actionable ideas that can be executed across various media platforms. You will be responsible for developing visual treatments, storyboards, and pitch materials, and guiding designers and production partners to bring creative visions to life.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with copywriters, digital strategists, and account managers to conceptualize and develop campaign ideas for clients focused on social impact.
- Transform strategic objectives and audience understanding into creative concepts that are both impactful and easy to grasp.
- Generate ideas suitable for a diverse range of media, including video, print, digital, social media, outdoor advertising, and live events.
- Produce visual materials such as mood boards, storyboards, social media concepts, activation ideas, presentation decks, and other assets to support creative pitches and project development.
- Articulate creative concepts and the underlying strategic rationale to internal teams and clients.
- Provide clear direction to designers and external production teams, ensuring the quality and integrity of the creative execution.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in art direction, design, or integrated campaign development, preferably within an agency or an in-house creative department.
- A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional conceptual thinking, visual execution, and the ability to translate strategy into effective creative work.
- Demonstrated experience in developing campaign concepts across multiple media channels.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience with motion graphics, prototyping tools, or AI tools is considered a plus.
- A highly conceptual thinker capable of generating innovative campaign ideas beyond just aesthetic design.
- Possess a thoughtful approach, sound judgment, and cultural sensitivity when working on purpose-driven projects that may address complex or sensitive topics.
