Role overview

A growing landscape architecture studio in Brisbane is looking for Landscape Architects and Senior Landscape Architects to join a collaborative, design-led team. The position is suited to professionals who want to progress their career while working across a broad range of projects in South East Queensland and other parts of Australia.

The role covers the complete project journey, from early concept work through to project delivery, with scope to build capability and make a stronger professional contribution over time.

About the studio

The practice was founded in 2019 and focuses on designing landscapes that bring people, nature and community together. Its portfolio spans education, commercial and mixed-use developments, infrastructure and streetscapes, plus residential and masterplanned communities.

Because the studio works across many sectors, the role offers exposure to different project sizes, typologies and design problems.

What the role involves

• Helping shape projects from initial concept through to construction and delivery
• Producing and coordinating project documentation at different phases
• Collaborating closely with clients, architects and specialist consultants
• Taking responsibility for projects independently at a senior level, or building toward that level of autonomy
• Guiding junior colleagues, or receiving mentorship depending on experience
• Contributing ideas to design development and wider studio conversations

The role can be tailored to suit either an emerging or experienced candidate, with a clear development path for the right person.

Candidate profile

The studio is looking for a landscape architect with around 3 or more years of experience in landscape architecture or design. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both creative design and technical documentation, can help drive projects through multiple stages, communicates well, collaborates effectively, and is eager to take ownership and continue growing.

Location and working style

The position is based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, with Sunshine Coast also considered. Flexible working options are available, including the ability to work from home.
