Assistant Director

Role Overview

Goodstart Early Learning is looking for an Assistant Director to join its Mount Tamborine centre in Queensland. This is a full-time position of 38 hours each week, based onsite at Goodstart Mount Tamborine.

The hourly pay range for this role is $42.38 to $43.60, plus superannuation. The position also includes pay that is at least 7% above the award rate, along with access to a range of employee benefits.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced early learning professional who wants to grow into a stronger leadership role, support a centre team, and help drive a high-quality, values-led service.

What the Role Involves

In this position, you will work closely with the Centre Director to lead the centre, strengthen team capability, and support continuous improvement across daily operations. You will also help build positive relationships with families and contribute to local community connections.

Key Duties

• Assist the Centre Director with leading the team to deliver high-quality early learning and care.
• Coach and develop team members so they can grow their capability and confidence.
• Take charge of centre operations when the Centre Director is unavailable.
• Apply the Goodstart Practice Guide in day-to-day work.
