Role Overview
This position suits an experienced hospitality professional who can take ownership of laundry operations in a premium hotel environment. The Assistant Laundry Manager will support daily department performance, help maintain exceptional standards, and work closely with the housekeeping leadership team to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
Key Duties

- Help maintain strong output, product quality, and presentation standards across the department.

- Guide, coach, and develop laundry team members while encouraging accountability and ongoing improvement.
- Assist with hiring, induction, training, performance reviews, and succession planning.
- Track KPIs, productivity data, and quality checks to spot gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure laundry machines, tools, and facilities are properly maintained and used effectively.
- Control stock levels, chemical consumption, and operating supplies while keeping costs and waste in check.
- Work in close coordination with Housekeeping, Rooms Division, and other departments to support overall service excellence.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasts, and broader financial performance management.
- Maintain full compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
- Demonstrate Forbes Five-Star service behaviour and set a strong example for the team.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has prior supervisory or managerial experience in laundry operations within a luxury hotel. You should understand commercial laundry processes, fabric care, textile handling, and modern laundry equipment.
Strong leadership ability is essential, along with the confidence to motivate teams, manage priorities, and make sound decisions in a busy hospitality setting. A solid grasp of budgeting, cost control, and operational performance is also important.
Good communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills are needed, as well as comfort using Microsoft Office and hotel management systems. The role calls for someone detail-focused, proactive, and committed to quality and guest satisfaction.
Benefits and Rewards
- Tax-free annual salary of QAR 72,000.
- 21 calendar days of annual leave plus 11 paid public holidays.

- Private medical insurance for the employee.
- End-of-service benefits.
- Complimentary meals at the team restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Special hotel and dining discounts for the employee, family, and friends.
- Strong opportunities for learning, development, and career growth.
- Recognition and reward programmes.
- The chance to work at one of Doha’s most iconic lifestyle destinations.
