About The Ned Doha

The Ned Doha is located in Doha inside the landmark former Ministry of Interior building. It is positioned as a premium hospitality destination that combines historic character with refined design and modern luxury.

The property features seven dining outlets, 90 stylish guest rooms, sophisticated event spaces, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that includes a rooftop terrace, spa, gym, and a 30-metre outdoor pool.

Role Overview

The hotel is seeking a confident, hands-on, and guest-focused Duty Manager to help keep daily operations running smoothly and to ensure a high-end experience for every visitor. In this role, you will act as the key contact point for both guests and colleagues during your shift and help uphold the property’s service standards.

Key Duties

  • Coordinate the daily flow of hotel operations and keep all departments working in sync.
  • Serve as the manager in charge during shifts and address guest issues, feedback, and operational concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership on the floor and set the tone for excellent service.
  • Provide support to Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other teams as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence in guest-facing areas to ensure service quality remains consistently high.
  • Receive and assist VIP guests, managing special requests with tact and discretion.
  • Handle guest complaints and work toward effective resolutions.
  • Monitor standards of cleanliness, presentation, and overall guest satisfaction throughout the property.
  • Ensure all activities align with company rules, brand expectations, health and safety requirements, and operating procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations and help safeguard guests and team members.
  • Prepare shift reports and handovers, and relay important operational information between teams.
  • Assist with coaching, training, and developing operational staff.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in a leadership role such as Duty Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager within a luxury hotel setting, ideally in a 5-star property. Strong communication, leadership, and people skills are essential, along with a calm, solutions-oriented mindset when working under pressure.

You should be highly organized, capable of balancing multiple priorities, and familiar with hotel property management systems such as Opera or comparable platforms. A solid understanding of guest relations, hotel operations, and luxury hospitality standards is important. The role also requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and other operational needs, as well as the ability to motivate teams and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
