Where you'll work
Job description
Role overview
You will join a team responsible for content regulation across multiple media channels, including arts and entertainment, films, video games, publications, and broadcast services such as TV, radio, and OTT platforms. The work helps ensure media content aligns with community expectations and formal guidelines, supports consumers in making informed decisions, and protects young audiences from unsuitable material.
Key responsibilities
In this role, you will evaluate content across different platforms against applicable standards and regulatory guidelines. You will also engage with industry stakeholders to help them understand and comply with their obligations.
In addition, you will contribute to policy work by sharing inputs for the design, refinement, and rollout of related rules and frameworks. The role also includes handling media and public enquiries on content matters, supporting advisory committees through secretariat work, and assisting with public education initiatives.
Requirements
The role is suited to candidates with a strong interest in media and 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience. A background in Mass Communications, Media Studies, or the Humanities is preferred.
You should have a good understanding of political and social sensitivities, as well as awareness of the broader social and economic effects of media. Strong analytical thinking, writing, and communication skills are important, along with the ability to work independently, stay organised, and contribute as a reliable team member.
You must be able to manage multiple tasks and perform well under tight deadlines. Prior exposure to policy or regulatory work, together with interest in technology, will be an advantage.
Additional information
Compensation will be aligned with the candidate’s level of experience. Only applicants who are shortlisted will be contacted.
